Jawbreaker is Recording New Music this Summer that Could Save Us All
Recording is in Jawbreaker’s future, and they’re telling everyone.
Blake Schwarzenbach recently joined Jonah Bayer and Benny Horowitz on their always-insightful Going Off Track podcast, and the Jawbreaker frontman said that this summer the band is, “trying to write, jam.”
Schwarzenbach said he’s going to write at home for a month before hitting a Bay Area-studio with Chris and Adam. Jawbreaker looks to approach songwriting like they did on 1992’s Biouvac — with more “band-like jams.”
The group is also looking for shows overseas as Schwarzenbach joked, “who wants to be in the U.S. right now?” Uh, bad scene, everyone’s fault?
You can listen to the podcast here. The juicy Jawbreaker fodder is at the 1:36 mark. It was recorded live at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and Laura Stevenson is there, as well as Brian Baker from Minor Threat and Bad Religion… as if you need any more reason to quit reading this and start listening to that.
