Riot Fest Adoptable Puppy of the Week: Walnut
Walnut A177291 • 2-year old neutered male • Available for Adoption at Chicago ACC
I think I fall more in love with Walnut every time I take him outside. He is a little vocal for attention in his cage, but easy to leash up and walk outside. He’s such a goofy guy. Walnut follows you around like a little puppy and will push his entire body into you for petting. He also offers affection and loves to play with toys. Walnut would chase the toys and either drop them, trade up for another, or let me take his toys from him. No signs of guarding at all. He was engaged with me as his handler and seems treat motivated too. Walnut sits nicely for treats, and this time around I learned he also knows paw and other paw. He’s a smart cookie who seems to gain confidence with each day. Walnut met a male dog on leash and was engaging and playful! We still are gathering information on his dog to dog interactions, but so far they seem positive. Walnut came into the shelter on 1/17 as a stray.
