Riot Fest Adoptable Puppy of the Week: Ditka
Ditka is a really sweet pup. In his cage, he wiggles his booty and approaches you gently. Once the leash was around his neck, he was a little shy to come out of the cage. I think the barking all around him was a little scary. Ditka did walk out all on his own and past the other dogs. Outside he put some pep in his step and had the cutest little waddle. Ditka enjoyed smelling all the new smells and exploring the area. He would come over on occasion for snuggles and scratches on his butt. Ditka has a good mix of connecting with people but also checking out the world around him. Ditka had no interest in treats at this time and did not appear to know any commands. He leaned in for petting and was very easy to handle. On leash he would pull slightly ahead, but was mostly pretty good on a leash – would benefit from a little basic training. Ditka was adopted but recently returned due to landlord issues :(.
Playgroup Notes: Playgroup Notes: DITKA + ASPEN: Leash test – At the start, he would engage & then turn away & explore the lot. After a bit, he did a nice play bow & they engaged in some sparring. Ditka seems like a nice enough pup but gave a little more physical contact than Aspen was comfortable with so she gave him a correction to cool it a bit. Likely best with smart pairings.
